Job purpose/ key responsibilities
To account manage all aspects of the customer relationship to all of the veterinary practices, mini corporates and businesses in a geographical area. To sell vet imaging products, service contracts and clinical content.
- Sell and develop the BCF name in the marketplace
- Work with BCF values (innovation, partnership & learning) to build confidence in our brand
- Build relationships and fully understand each clients’ business and their growth aspirations
- Understand local relationships between practices and key peers, veterinary referrals in the area.
- Understand the decision making process and decision makers in each businesses
- Find solutions for current opportunities and drive their thinking towards the growth and return of imaging within their businesses
- Demonstrate suitable equipment or arrange demonstrations from others within BCF
- Manage the “closing” process irrelevant of who within BCF did the demonstration
- Arrange Applications and Installation training as required
- Continue to develop the relationships, extending the reach of BCF into the practices.
- Present & sell technical service and clinical training, audit options
- Maintain the BCF SAP CRM with all relevant customer information and opportunities
- Maintain a strong opportunities pipeline
- Conduit between the customer and BCF, take ownership of issues and ensure close out of each issue by relevant BCF person
- All revenue to each practice will be the responsibility of the Account Manager including service contracts, consumable sales
- Encouraging internal staff development with the effective technical use of veterinary imaging equipment
Education/ experience
- Significant knowledge of ultrasound and x-ray technologies in veterinary application would be desirable
- Good understanding of the UK veterinary markets
- Previous sales experience desirable would be an advantage
- Qualified veterinarian would be an advantage but not a requirement
